A Living Archive

Archive Launching at Cyprus High Commission, 13 St. James's Square London SW1Y 4LB

The mainland Greek and Greek Cypriot Migration outside Greece and Cyprus has been documented in audio, video and print using the modern electronic facilities and consists of original research outcomes of academics and lay people alike. Narratives of migrants’ lives, their letters and travelling documents, old photos and beloved belongings they brought from the motherland, alongside historical references and copies of previous research have been deposited at the Department of Archives and Corporate Records of King’s College London. The completion of the catalogue opens these archives to the public via the Internet and in more traditional methods.

The launching of the archive is held under the auspices of the High Commissioner of Cyprus in the UK, Euripides L. Evriviades.
