33° 3' 45'' East is the culmination of ongoing independent and joint research that visual artist Yorgos Petrou and ancient historian Dr Ersin Hussein have undertaken on the themes of geological stratification and identity formation. In the process of preparing for this event they have also paused to consider the nature of their collaborative work. Their conversation and archive will also be available for viewing. Yorgos and Ersin are both based in the UK and regularly travel to Cyprus to produce work and conduct research in their respective fields.
The exhibition is accompanied by a text by Art historian Thomas Frangenberg.
