Creative Pathways is a series dedicated to the journeys of Cypriot creatives living and working in the UK — the paths they have taken, the questions that shape their work, and the dreams that continue to guide them.
In this special evening at Cyprus House, London, we welcome Professor George Rodosthenous, an accomplished artist and academic whose work bridges creative practice and research, performance-making and critical thinking. A Cypriot living and working in the UK, Professor Rodosthenous has built a distinguished career in contemporary performance and musical theatre, while remaining deeply engaged with questions of identity, belonging, and cultural memory.
Through an open Q&A, the conversation will move beyond professional milestones to explore the personal stories behind them: growing up in Cyprus, forging a creative life abroad, navigating multiple cultural contexts, and sustaining artistic curiosity over time. The discussion will also reflect on the realities of making and thinking theatre today, the relationship between artistic practice and academia, and the role of storytelling in shaping both individual and collective experience.
Creative Pathways aims to create space for reflection, dialogue, and connection — bringing audiences closer to the people behind the work, and to the many ways Cypriot voices continue to resonate beyond borders.
