The Cultural Review 2025 captures a year in which Cypriot culture resonated across the United Kingdom with confidence, creativity and purpose.
Through 38 events presented in 12 locations and 20 venues, 107 artists and scholars shared their work with more than 5,000 audience members, including 690 children and young people. From theatre, dance and music to film, literature, academic dialogue and educational workshops, the season reflected the richness and contemporary voice of Cyprus today.
Major moments unfolded in leading cultural institutions and museums, including the British Museum and the Imperial War Museum, while the UK Cyprus Film Festival travelled to ten cities across the country. Poetry crossed borders at the European Poetry Festival. New writing and performance found their stage. Young people engaged with heritage and storytelling through educational initiatives that returned by popular demand.
This was not simply a programme of events. It was a season of bridges. Bridges between Cyprus and the UK. Between artists and audiences. Between generations. Between history and new imagination.
Watch the video and revisit a year that strengthened connections, amplified voices and affirmed the power of culture to bring people closer together.
