In Short, Europe: Opening Doors, now in its seventh edition, is a celebration of European short filmmaking curated by EUNIC London in partnership with the EU Delegation to the UK, Regent Street Cinema, and the Westminster School of Media and Communication. The festival brings together 19 exceptional films from across the continent, exploring themes of diversity, inclusion, and access. From animation to documentary, fiction, and experimental forms, the programme highlights the rich storytelling traditions of Europe while inviting audiences to reflect on identity, memory, and the barriers that shape our lives. This year’s strands – Sharing Memories, Breaking Boundaries, and Challenging Perspectives – provide distinct lenses on contemporary European experiences, creating a unique platform for filmmakers and audiences to connect and engage.
The celebration continues with a special networking event for Cypriot artists across all disciplines, hosted by the Cultural Section of the Cyprus High Commission. Connect, share ideas, and celebrate Cyprus’ creative community in the UK.
