European Writers in London – A Moment of Stillness and Storytelling

Today, under the generous shade of trees in St James’s Square, something magical happened. Surrounded by birdsong—and even a curious fox—time seemed to pause as we gathered for a morning of storytelling and reflection. Five exceptional European writers, fresh from their residency with Literature Wales, shared words that now live within us.

These stories—shaped by nature, language, and community—are no longer just theirs. They are ours to carry, remember, and pass on.
