🧵 About the Exhibition

We are delighted to announce the third edition of our flagship group exhibition, THERE IS AN ISLAND III, which will take place at Cyprus House in London from December 2025 to June 2026.

Following two successful editions that explored identity, memory and migration, this next chapter invites Cypriot artists living and working in the UK to respond to the themes of women, everyday life, and Cyprus’s historical and ongoing role as a cultural bridge between continents and cultures — from past to present and into the future.

Whether quietly personal or openly political, figurative or abstract, this exhibition aims to reflect the rich diversity of Cypriot creative expression in the diaspora today.

🌟 What We’re Looking For

We invite artists to submit expressions of interest for inclusion in the exhibition.Selected works will be presented in curated rotations and featured in events, conversations, and community gatherings hosted at Cyprus House throughout the exhibition’s run.

Artists may submit:

• Up to three works (existing or new)

• Any medium welcome: painting, photography, textiles, sculpture, installation, mixed media, or digital

Works should respond to at least one of the following:

• 👩‍🦰 Women and everyday life

• 🌍 Cyprus as a cultural and historical bridge between East and West

• 🧶 The quiet rituals, spaces and tensions of lived experience

📩 How to Express Interest

To be considered, artists must email the Cultural Section at CulturalCyHCL@mfa.gov.cy by 31 July 2025, including:

✅ Images of up to 3 proposed works

✅ Title, dimensions & short description for each work

✅ Price of each work (for insurance purposes; works do not need to be for sale)

✅ A short artist bio (max 300 words)

✅ Links to social media and/or website

✅ A link to your entry in the Cypriot Artists Database (or include a new entry if not already listed)

Please also let us know if you require support with transport or presentation.

🔄 All artworks will be delivered to and collected from Cyprus House by the artists at dates to be arranged in due course.
