Cyprus Short Film Day 2016 is the first official event celebrating Cypriot short film in London, held under the auspices of the Cypriot High Commissioner, Mr. Euripides L. Evriviades. The event is organised by the Cyprus High Commission UK - Cultural Section in collaboration with the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus. It is sponsored by the Cultural Services of the Cypriot Ministry of Education and Culture. Cyprus Short Film Day 2016 features six short films that won awards at the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus in 2015 by filmmakers Spiros Charalambous, Renos Gavris, Christina Georgiou and David Hands, Stelios Kammitsis, Yiannis Kokkinos and Alexandra Matheou. The film programme also includes two award-winning films by filmmakers Daina Papadaki and Marilena Parouti.
The screening is followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers and drinks reception.
