Cyprus House, 13 St James’s Square, London SW1Y 4LB

Due to the postponement of the exhibition programme at The Hellenic Centre, the upcoming Creative Pathways Q&A with Dr Marios Papadopoulos will now take place at Cyprus House. The date and time remain unchanged.

The Cultural Section of the Cyprus High Commission in London is delighted to welcome Dr Marios Papadopoulos, Founder and Artistic Director of the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra, for this special evening of conversation as part of our Creative Pathways series.

In this open Q&A, Dr Papadopoulos will reflect on his remarkable artistic journey — from his early musical beginnings to building one of the United Kingdom’s most respected orchestral institutions. The discussion will explore the inspirations, challenges, and defining moments that shaped his life in music, as well as the role of artistic leadership in bringing musicians, audiences, and cultural communities together.

A pianist, conductor, educator, and cultural ambassador, Dr Papadopoulos has dedicated his career to advancing musical excellence and fostering dialogue through the arts. This evening offers audiences a rare opportunity to hear directly from him about creativity, perseverance, and the enduring power of music to connect people across borders and generations.

Visitors are also warmly invited to join us earlier in the evening at 5:30pm for a curated artist-led tour of the exhibition THERE IS AN ISLAND III, currently on view at Cyprus House. The tour will offer unique insight into the exhibition and will naturally lead into the evening’s conversation.

The event will conclude with a wine reception, offering guests the opportunity to continue the discussion in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

We look forward to welcoming you to Cyprus House for an inspiring evening celebrating artistic vision, cultural exchange, and the creative paths that shape our shared cultural landscape.
