“The Third Country: My Little Odyssey”
Dalia Staponkutė is an award winning Lithuanian author, living in Cyprus for more than two decades now. Her latest book, The Third Country: My Little Odyssey provides a thought-provoking and self-reflexive perspective on the deconstruction of national, class and gender identity in Cyprus and Lithuania. Her writing moves between personal experiences, languages and countries to create fresh, profound and moving meditations on our inner lives and destinies in these unsettled times of globalisation. The book has garnered great critical acclaim and two prestigious awards - both Lithuanian literary critics and the reading public elected it Book of the Year in 2016.
