The Cultural Section of the Cyprus High Commission invites audiences to a special artist-led curated tour of THERE IS AN ISLAND III, an exhibition bringing together 24 British Cypriot artists living and working across the United Kingdom.

Curated by the Cultural Section of the Cyprus High Commission, the exhibition explores themes of women, everyday life, and Cyprus as a bridge and crossroads of the Mediterranean through painting, photography, textiles, ceramics, sound and mixed media.

This guided tour offers visitors the opportunity to experience the exhibition through the voices of the artists themselves. Participating artists will lead audiences through the galleries of Cyprus House, sharing insights into their creative processes, inspirations and personal connections to the works on display.

Over recent months, THERE IS AN ISLAND III has grown into a vibrant cultural meeting point - bringing together artists, members of the diaspora, students and wider audiences in a shared space of dialogue, reflection and exchange.

The exhibition presents Cyprus not simply as a geographical place, but as a lived and evolving experience shaped by memory, movement, resilience and cultural connection. Through diverse artistic practices and perspectives, the artists create bridges between Cyprus and the UK, between personal stories and collective histories.

We are honoured that the Deputy Minister of Culture will be visiting Cyprus House for this special occasion, celebrating the richness and diversity of the British Cypriot artistic community.
