High Commission of Cyprus
13 St James’s Square, London SW1Y 4LB
A brilliant and ambitious celebration of contemporary Cypriot poetry returns to the High Commission of Cyprus in London in the summer of 2026.
As part of the European Poetry Festival, this special evening presents brand-new literary collaborations created specifically for the event, bringing together Cypriot and Greek poets from Cyprus, the United Kingdom, and the wider diaspora. Through dynamic pairings and live performance, the event will showcase the vibrancy, diversity, and creative experimentation of 21st-century poetry.
Audiences will experience a series of unique poetic encounters — works written, translated, and performed in dialogue — celebrating the richness of contemporary Cypriot voices within the international literary landscape.
Featuring poets:
Erina Charalambous
Alev Adil
Nora Nadjarian
Stathis Dimitriadis
Theodoros Chiotis
Haris Psarras
Calliope Michail
Additional poets to be announced.
This marks the second Cypriot Poetry Celebration within the European Poetry Festival, following the remarkable debut event in 2025.
