The High Commission of Cyprus in London is proud to present the second Cypriot Poetry Celebration as part of the European Poetry Festival, curated by Steven J Fowler, following the remarkable success of its debut edition.
Taking place on Thursday 18 June 2026 at 7:00pm at Cyprus House, this special evening will bring together leading and emerging voices from Cyprus, Greece, and the UK diaspora for a dynamic programme of newly created poetic collaborations.
At the heart of the European Poetry Festival is the creation of live, one-off performances, pairing poets across languages, styles, and geographies. This year’s Cyprus edition continues this exciting format, offering audiences a unique opportunity to experience contemporary poetry as a living, collaborative art form.
Confirmed poets include:
Erina Charalambous and David Spittle
Calliope Michail and Xelis de Toro
Stathis Dimitriadis and Yanita Georgieva
Eleni Kefala and poet to be announced
Alev Adil and Haris Psarras
Nora Nadjarian and Anna Siedykh
Theodoros Chiotis and Jonathan Catherall
with more pairs and poets to be confirmed.
Many more poets will be announced in the coming weeks.
The 2026 edition builds on the strong foundations of last year’s event, further strengthening Cyprus’s presence within the international poetry landscape and celebrating the richness and diversity of its contemporary voices.
