A theatrical monologue in Greek with English supertitles
Three performances across the UK – Summer 2025
A woman enters the stage holding letters written long ago — the final words of young Cypriots sentenced to die during the 1955–1959 EOKA struggle for liberation. Yet these letters speak not of death, but of life. Of love for mothers, for children, for homeland. Of freedom — not as a symbol, but as something worth becoming.
Letters to Freedom is a poetic and moving theatrical monologue built on authentic farewell letters, testimonies and poems. As each letter is read, the woman — once a simple messenger — is transformed. On stage, memory becomes presence. Stillness becomes ritual. And through her, Freedom finds its voice.
