Join the Cultural Section of the Cyprus High Commission in the UK for Space on Stage: The Sun – A Scientific Musical Journey, an extraordinary evening where science, mythology and live music come together to celebrate our nearest star.

Created by Dr Georgios Nicolaou, space scientist, in collaboration with Elena Hadjiafxendi, actress, singer and creator, this unique interdisciplinary performance explores the Sun as both a scientific phenomenon and a timeless source of artistic and cultural inspiration.

Drawing on the latest discoveries from the European Space Agency's Solar Orbiter mission, the performance combines scientific narration with live music, storytelling and dramatic performance, revealing the fascinating processes that power the Sun while exploring its enduring place in mythology, history and human imagination. The evening also highlights the Sun's significance in Cyprus, where it has inspired beliefs, traditions and artistic expression since antiquity.
