The High Tides of Times – Solo Exhibition by Marina Emphietzi

The Cultural Section of the Cyprus High Commission is delighted to present The High Tides of Times, a solo exhibition by acclaimed Greek Cypriot artist Marina Emphietzi. The exhibition will run from 20th to 29th November 2024 at the Cyprus House, 13 St. James's Square, London, showcasing Emphietzi's powerful exploration of time through her semi-abstract seascapes.

In this stunning collection, Emphietzi uses the sea as a metaphor for the flow of time, capturing moments of calm and turbulence that reflect life’s journey. Drawing inspiration from ancient Greek wave classifications and the Beaufort wind scale, her works invite viewers to contemplate the ever-changing tides within both nature and themselves.

The exhibition will be open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with extended hours on Wednesday, November 27th, until 6 p.m. The exhibition will close on Thursday, November 29th.
