Group Exhibition | Cyprus House, London

The Cultural Section of the Cyprus High Commission in London presents THERE IS AN ISLAND III, a group exhibition bringing together 18 British Cypriot artists whose practices reflect contemporary engagements with Cyprus as a place of memory, identity, and lived experience.

Through a rich diversity of media and artistic approaches, the exhibition explores themes of heritage, displacement and belonging, everyday life, and the creation of cultural bridges between Cyprus and the United Kingdom. Each artist offers a personal yet interconnected perspective, contributing to a collective narrative that situates Cyprus not only as a geographical location, but as an evolving cultural and emotional landscape.

THERE IS AN ISLAND III celebrates the plurality of British Cypriot voices and highlights the strength of artistic dialogue across generations, disciplines, and lived realities. The exhibition forms part of the Cyprus High Commission’s wider cultural programme and reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting contemporary artistic practice within the Cypriot diaspora.
