Our London edition of the UK CYPRUS FILM FESTIVAL 2025 came to life with two unforgettable evenings that celebrated Cypriot cinema, creativity, and conversation. Audiences were welcomed at Cyprus House for the screenings of two powerful films — Embryo Larva Butterfly by Kyros Papavasileiou and The Asylum Seekers by Michael Hapeshis — each followed by deeply engaging Q&As with the directors, who generously shared insights into their creative journeys, processes, and the emotional depth behind their work.

Both nights began with an evocative visual prelude: the beautifully produced Myths of Cyprus by Mark Kassinos, a project by the Press and Information Office of Cyprus (PIO) that reconnected us with the timeless stories of the island and reminded us of the roots that continue to inspire Cypriot artists today.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful audiences — your presence, questions, and curiosity made these events so special. And this is only the beginning! Stay tuned — the UK Cyprus Film Festival 2025 is hitting the road. Our outside London editions are coming soon, with more screenings, more stories, and more Cypriot voices waiting to be heard.
