December 9th’s  full-house performance of Unsettled by Argyro Nicolaou was an evening that left us deeply moved. Through her powerful lens, we were taken on an emotional journey to Varosi—not as a distant, silent city, but as a place still beating within the hearts of its people. Argyro’s storytelling illuminated the love, memory, and longing passed down from parents to children, reminding us that even a ghosted city can remain profoundly alive when carried through generations.

Her one-woman performance was not only an artistic achievement but a communal experience. Argyro brought her own community with her, and as the evening unfolded, those outside that circle found themselves woven into it—bound together by shared memory, empathy, and the enduring spirit of Varosi.

We extend our warmest thanks to our audience for their presence, attentiveness, and heartfelt reactions. And we congratulate Argyro not only for her remarkable performance but for the entire collaboration leading up to it. Her work offered us a rare space to reflect, remember, and connect.

Varosi may remain behind closed fences, but last night proved that its stories, its people, and its soul are anything but silent.
