Join us for an unforgettable evening of history, memory, and storytelling.

Celebrated archaeologist and art historian Anna Marangou presents her latest work, the evocative trilogy Walking through the Kingdom of Salamis, brought to life through the photographic projections of Petros Fiakkas. The event will feature reflections from Dr. Yiannis Toumazis, Director of the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation and former Deputy Minister of Culture.
Spanning thirty-seven centuries of Cypriot history — from prehistoric Enkomi and glorious Salamis to Hellenistic Arsinoe, Byzantine Constantia, and the vibrant 20th-century city of Varosha — this deeply personal work is a tribute to a land steeped in memory. More than a historical account, the trilogy is an emotional journey, a folk historiography and an elegy for Famagusta. It is a blue box of stories, images, and remembrance — a call to preserve the soul of a place that refuses to be forgotten.
As Anna Komnena wrote in 1148: “The word of History becomes a mighty barrier against the currents of time.”
We look forward to welcoming you to this inspiring evening of words, images, and shared memory.
