In the first part of the concert, Nicolas Costantinou presented an impressive programme of classical music, including Sonata in C major by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Sonatine M. 40 by Maurice Ravel and three pieces by Fryderyk Chopin. The second part of the programme comprised a selection of six preludes from contemporary Cypriot composer Constantinos Stylianou’s “Twelve Preludes, First Series (2008-2012)”, inspired by famous artworks by such painters as Mondrian, Turner and Klimt.
The concert was followed by a reception in which the audience had the opportunity to meet both Cypriot musicians, namely Nicolas Costantinou and London-based Constantinos Stylianou.
